James Landers Youth Foundation Provides SAT/ACT Tutoring to High School Athletes


Tampa, FL June 5, 2011:

As part of the Foundation mission, the Landers Youth Foundation recently added SAT/ACT tutoring services for local high school athletes. The free service is offered to High School Juniors and Seniors throughout Pinellas county. “We believe in Equality of Opportunity. For many of our local youth, no such service exists to help provide athletes and even non-athletes the individual tutoring they need to continue their education beyond high school”, stated James Landers. Landers Youth Foundation Adds High School players to their Camp Roster

Tampa, FL May 23,, 2011:

To better serve the community, The Landers Youth Foundation sought and added the support of several local High School players to their Camp roster. Reyshawn Jenkins, a USF signee, has agreed to volunteer his time to assist the foundation. “Generosity is contagious. We are very excited to have the support of these local players. They realize that kids look up to them and I am very impressed that they are willing to help” stated James Landers, founder of the foundation. He added. “ We invite any and all who are willing to help our local youth. Kids need the love and support of all of us. You can help the foundation in many ways.” added Landers.

James and Chafika Landers created the foundation in 2009 as an out-reach to local youths in need of financial support to play youth sports.

James Landers Youth Foundation Sponsors Free Speed and Agility Camp for local Youth

Tampa, FL May 23, 2011:

Landers Youth Foundation recently announced that the Foundation will be sponsoring weekly Speed and Agility Camps throughout the summer. The camps will be conducted in North Shore Park on Sundays at 3:30. “The goal of the camp is to provide a fun and positive activity for local youth. We are expecting over 100 in attendance and will expand the camp if needed”, stated James Landers.

James and Chafika Landers created the foundation in 2009 and have expanded the reach since inception. “Our goal is to provide kids the same opportunities that we had when we were kids. Playing sports as a youth should be a right, not a privilege. Our foundation can and will make a difference,” added Landers.

James Landers Youth Foundation Sponsors Free Speed and Agility Camp for local Youth

Tampa, FL August 11, 2010:

Landers Youth Foundation recently conducted a Speed and Agility Camp to local youths. The camp had participants from around the county and was managed by Elite Sports of Saint Petersburg. Over 100 players were in attendance. They were provided expert training and guidance from over 10 camp teachers. “It was a great experience not only for the kids, but also for the Foundation” said James Landers of Saint Petersburg. “We were overwhelmed with the participation and hope we can expand the camp further next year”, added Landers. Participants received camp shirts and were treated to lunch after the camp.

The Landers Youth Foundation supports the local youth sports community in Pinellas County. The foundation is founded and managed by James Landers and Chafika Landers.

James Landers Youth Foundation Announces Winners of 20 Participation Scholarships to local Youth

Tampa, FL July 22, 2010:

“Through the generosity of our sponsors, we are very pleased to provide this opportunity to these scholarships and other services”, say James Landers of Saint Petersburg. In addition to registration fees, the Foundation pays for equipment and travel expenses to numerous children in the South Pinellas area. James and Chafika Landers created the foundation in 2009 to directly support the needs of local children who lack the financial ability to participate. “Their participation in youth sports will have an immediate and long term positive impact on their lives” according to Landers.

The scholarships are 100% needs based and are supported by over 20 sponsors to the foundation.

James Landers Youth Foundation Expands Reach to Pinellas County Children

Tampa, FL July 15, 2009:

Equality of Opportunity is the goal of the organization and our Sponsors according of James and Chafika Landers of Saint Petersburg. The focus of the foundation is sponsoring aspiring athletes in local sports organizations in the community. “We believe this is the best chance we have to provide these kids an opportunity to play the game. It is our hope that this opportunity will reinforce that people care about them and that they can achieve whatever they set their mind to”, states James Landers.

Landers seeks to create more awareness of the organization with the long term goal of expanding the out-reach to Tampa within the next couple of years.
